It is true that Capa once said: "If your photos are not good enough, you are not close enough." More important is the mental distance we keep with our subjects. There is a school of thought which proclaims that in other to photograph well a person or a group, the photographer has to become one of them. This is silly, because a photographer can never achieve this, he can only pretend or play at becoming one of the subject he photographs; when his work is over, he goes home. Besides, if you are photographing prostitute, do you have to become one of them?
